New Media is taking the stage with Obama

As soon as the clocked ticked over for the official handoff, the whitehouse website was updated and signalled a new era of communication for what is traditionally a closed set. This post, written by the “Director of New Media for the White House” really offers an insight into what we can most likely expect in the coming years.
I have a feeling that we’re going to be inundated with information, this serves not only as a breakthrough for governments but other companies and corporations who keep their doors closed from the world of new media. I hadn’t previously been on the old whitehouse.gov website (is it weird that they’re using webtrends?) but this new one (if it is new) is pretty solid. I would like to see a few more feed options though like the ones you see from the www.pic2009.org website…it’s going to be tough to keep up with it all!
