So much is written about SEO, and I know there is much confusion and wondering - who is right. The answer is somewhere between no one and everyone. Since the search engine guru’s are not telling their story it is all conjecture based on what works for one person over another.
Over the next few months I will explore the various facets of what we do know and possibly some thoughts on what we don’t know.
The first thing to emphasize is that GOOD SEO is hard work. While there are some out there who claim quick and immediate results - what you are after is results that last and if it takes 3-6 months to finally realize full benefit out of your effort - it will have been worth it.
Corporate earnings season is upon us and I will report to you in a few weeks on the earnings report from a few of the major search engines. The billions of dollars continue to grow and will do so until there are different ways of doing things.
Notice I did not say better ways of doing things. As we have all experienced and MSN is quite an example of this - it is not always the best way of doing things that ends up being widely adopted. That being said - it is important that we all agree on standards that we can then proceed with.
In the line of SEO the one thing we can all agree on is that you can try all the tricks you know but CONTENT is still king. Relevant content that is.
By the way have any of you been to Gran Turk Island - that should be optimized, and we should all visit Jimmy Buffet and Margaritaville on Gran Turk - just a slight diversion.
